WHAT IS DIAMOND DRILLING?

Diamond Core Drilling is the most efficient method of forming holes and openings in a multitude of hard building materials including reinforced concrete, brickwork and natural stone.

Diamond drilling can be carried out through virtually any thickness of the wall or floor. The diamond drilling system is dust free and has a relatively low noise output.

Various types of drill rigs enable drilling to be carried out in confined spaces, at angles and at inverted positions.

HOW DOES DIAMOND DRILLING WORK?

During drilling, the diamond bit rotates. Water runs through the driving shaft to cool the barrel and flush away the material being cut. Diamond drilling systems usually include 110v powered motors, but can also be 415v, hydraulic and or air-driven systems.

Factors that need to be considered during diamond drilling include:

• Type of material/surface to be cut

• Diameters and depths of holes to be drilled

• Structural resistance of the material
